Liz was born and brought up in Holt and has a strong affinity with, and a great affection for North Norfolk, the coastline and the North Sea. Although she now lives in London, Liz frequently visits this area. She is particularly interested in the in light, mood and atmosphere she find in the meeting of the land and sea. The effects of light and shade and the character of place when she travels abroad also provides her with constant inspiration for her work.
Liz has exhibited in London for several years at the Stables Gallery in Dollis Hill; at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in Waterloo; at the Patchings Art Festival in Nottingham; and at several private exhibitions in London.
She works in oil and watercolour, but has recently taken up printmaking. Hee latest exhibits are a selection of original prints using the methods of etching and aquatint.
