John Mawby

Born in 1948, John started painting in the seventies as a self-taught artist.

Growing up in rural Cambridgeshire, he specialised in book binding, carpentry and spent many years working on the railways.

John moved to Suffolk some thirty-five years ago. He is continuously inspired by the East Anglian landscape and old age buildings.

He is much inspired by other artists including Constable, Turner, Munnings, Monet, Seago and Houston.
