Emily’s artistic journey started when she began studying part-time with the Open College of Arts and a foundation arts BTEC diploma at the City Lit College, London, whilst studying English Literature at Cambridge University.
Her artwork is guided by the love of animals and the natural world. The wish to communicate with the beauty of a wide variety of landscapes is what inspires her work the most.
Emily’s main focus is the colour and the creation of a sense of place, as well as the development of form through diverse brush strokes. She likes to paint from situ and from her studio, based in Cambridge.
