Picturecraft’s reaction to the increased popularity of painting has led to the most rapid development of their specialist art and graphics material shop. Following a significant investment, a move into new, purpose-built, premises in Lees Yard took place in April 2004.
Continually striving to improve their product range … and to ensure a visit far exceeds any expectation … has involved years of careful research into the identification and sourcing of many obscure and specialist items. The shop now contains one of the largest and most comprehensive stocks of artists’ material in East Anglia. As would be expected, all the leading art material suppliers are represented and, amongst many accolades, Picturecraft proudly maintains status as a ‘Winsor & Newton Premier Art Centre’.
The new shop layout has been ingeniously ‘zoned’ into four distinct areas where each of the popular painting mediums can be found most effectively displayed: Oil; Acrylic; Watercolour and Pastel. With each zone being so easily identified a visitor is enabled the opportunity to browse amongst an incredible array of stock, further complimented with a comprehensive range of associated accessories.
The Picturecraft Art & Graphics Materials shop is owned and managed by husband and wife team Michael and Teresa Hill who, with their dedicated and knowledgeable staff, are always on hand to help and advise.

Picturecraft is renown for its specialist service and has been offering customers professional guidance into every aspect of bespoke picture framing for over four decades.
Using a range of over 1000 picture frame mouldings and nearly 100 subtle shades of mount card, a sympathetic advisory and selection process is undertaken for each individual item. Picturecraft’s meticulous attention to detail is matched with exacting standards to ensure the needs and expectations of every customer is fully realised … and this can sometimes prove to be a lengthy process.
An artistic awareness, a high degree of colour sense; an eye for proportion, balance and design; the knowledge, empathy and total understanding for any subject placed before them… these are some of the essential elements needed in order to advise.
