Trevor describes himself has having a great love of light, colour and painting.
Trevor's earlier work was in watercolour landscape in North Staffordshire. On moving to the Isle of Wight, with a very young daughter, he wanted to capture the way she was growing; her interest in everything, her openess to the world and the moments of pure joy in a child’s life. Simultaneously, Trevor was exposed to the light of south facing beaches, the sea, sailing, surfing and swimming. His palette changed, he moved to pastels and his love of colour grew. Trevor studied design as a first degree in Staffordshire and continued in post graduate study in art education. He has been a successful artist in the Isle of Wight and Hampshire area. He has had several exhibitions at the Quay Arts Centre on the Island and exhibited at Kendall's Gallery on the Isle of Wight, the Robert Perera Gallery in Lymington, the Granby Gallery in Bakewell along with a one man exhibition at the Bartley Drey Gallery in Chelsea. He has won several awards in open exhibitions and produced illustrations for sailing magazines and work commissioned for publications and book illustrations. Trevor has a great deal of experience with commission work and is always happy to discuss project.
