Mary Richardson was born locally in Sheringham and lived in Norfolk all her life. She has travelled extensively around the world follwing her passion for wildlife and wild places. She is an accountant by profession and has been painting in watercolours and oils since 2000 which she has exhibited locally. She always has had a desire to sculpt and in the last year has taken up the challenge of sculpting as well as moulding and casting in bronze and iron resin. Mary feels she has developed a personal style that reflects her great love of animals.
Picturecraft Gallery is pleasd to present her first display of British and African animals cast in bronze and iron resin. Mary hascrafted these sculptures to capture the essence of the animal in a stylised form while retaining their overall feeling and form. |
